Recovery Centers of America On-Site Wastewater Treatment

Recovery Centers of America provide addiction treatment services in world-class facilities throughout the country. Our firm was retained to provide engineering, environmental services, permitting, and construction management for site design and wastewater treatment at three of their Maryland facilities including their Earleville location in Cecil County, Maryland.

Our scope of work for the Earleville location included assessment of on-site wastewater disposal options, flow rate calculations (established at 13,400 gallons per day), perc testing, soils testing, and design of an innovative, 20,000 gallon per day, on-site treatment system.

We provided sitework engineering for the plant which is an Enhanced Nutrient Removal (ENR) Membrane BioReactor (MBR) WWTP. We designed the collection system, monitored water supply wells, and conducted a feasibility assessment for the required point discharge. The project was designed in accordance with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements. Construction was completed in 2021.
