Mach 1 Express Wash

RAUCH inc. provided architectural, MEP, and structural engineering services for the first Mach-1 Express Wash in Delaware.

Situated between the Wawa and AutoZone on Dupont Highway, the facility features a lobby, customer service area, 130-foot tunnel, vacuums, detailing air guns, and a mat cleaner. 

Our scope of work included design of utility (gas and electric), water and sewer connections, and circuitry and lighting. Architectural features included a finished attic space for extra storage with a 4’ walkthrough from the lobby, roofing with an ice and water shield feature, and a floorplan with a dedicated space for the customer service area.

Our team worked collaboratively to ensure that the architectural design and MEP design were cohesive and met Mach 1’s branding goals including modern lighting, awnings, signage, and color schemes. Designs and plans also had to meet Town of Georgetown Design Standards.
