Aphena Pharma Solutions Facility Assessment

Easton, Maryland

Departments: Architecture, Environmental Services, and MEP

RAUCH inc. conducted facilities assessments for two buildings for Aphena Pharma Solutions, one of the top contract pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging companies in the United States. Assessing a 19,000 sf and 54,000 sf building, we reviewed all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) components including HVAC, plumbing, water heating, electrical, fire detection, fire suppression, security, and communications. Our team also reviewed all structural components including the substructures, framing, roof, stairways, and foundation. Architectural review components included framing, exterior and interior finishes, windows, doors, stairways, patios, balconies and mezzanines and restrooms. Our civil engineers assessed civil site features including topography and drainage, paving, curbs, parking, and landscaping. We provided construction cost estimates for MEP repair and replacements, structural repairs, architectural repairs, and civil site improvements.

Our scope of work also included a Phase I Environmental Assessment conducted by our Environmental Services professionals. Their research was comprised of site investigations and state and federal records sourced from the Maryland Department of the Environment and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) program.

This project required multi-disciplinary review and collaboration between our engineering, MEP, architecture, and environmental services departments. In addition to high-level expertise within those disciplines, extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements was necessary to ensure project success. This project also highlights our ability to assess and design a diverse array of buildings from industrial and commercial to residential and municipal buildings.
